If you're applying to Rivet School, one important step is making sure your FAFSA application includes Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU)—our university partner.
Follow this step-by-step guide to add SNHU to your 2025-26 FAFSA Application Form quickly and easily.
Step 1: Log in to StudentAid.gov
- Go to StudentAid.gov and sign in using your FSA ID and password.
- Click on “FAFSA Form” >“Complete the FAFSA Form”
Step 2: Open Your FAFSA for 2025-26
- You'll see a list of FAFSA forms by academic year. If you’ve already started or submitted the 2025-26 FAFSA, click “Edit Existing Form.”
Step 3: Find the “Selected Colleges” Section
- Click on the 2025-26 FAFSA Form in the “Currently Active” section of My Activity.
- Scroll down to find the “Selected Colleges” section. If you've already added Southern New Hampshire University to your application, this is where it'll appear. If you don’t see a school listed, proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Add SNHU to Your FAFSA
- Click “Actions” > “Add or Remove Schools.”
- Click “Search and Select More Schools.”
- Enter SNHU’s Federal School Code: 002580, then click Search.
- Select Southern New Hampshire University and save your changes.
School Name: Southern New Hampshire University
Federal Student Code: 002580
Address: 2500 N River Rd, Manchester, NH 03106
Step 6: Submit Your Updates
- Once SNHU is added to your application, review your form to make sure everything looks correct, then submit your changes.
- Your FAFSA application will take a few days to process the submitted changes. To view the current status of your application, follow Steps 1-3 to see if your application is Submitted, In Progress, or Processed under My Activity.
By following these steps, you’ll ensure SNHU receives your financial aid information—keeping your Rivet School application moving forward. If you’d like to follow along this step-by-step process with an Admissions Specialist, you can do so via this video.
